SIPEF is a listed agro-industrial group active in tropical agriculture, primarily focused on the production of sustainable, certified crude palm oil in Southeast Asia. SIPEF conducted a double materiality assessment, identifying key material topics that impact its business model and society. These topics include among others 'climate change', 'biodiversity and ecosystems', and 'own workforce'. SIPEF's Responsible Plantations Policy (RPP) outlines commitments to monitor and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, mitigate biodiversity-related impacts, and ensure a safe working environment for its workforce. Additionally, advancements in supply chain traceability underscore the critical importance of sustainability to SIPEF’s business model.
